Position Summary

As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality standards of the electronical and electro-mechanical products manufactured by our company. You will work closely with production, suppliers, R&D, engineering, and customer service teams to identify and resolve any quality issues, conduct testing and inspection, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. This position will report directly to our CEO in Mooresville, NC and have a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Head of Quality Management at our global headquarters in Neumarkt, Germany.

Job Responsibilities

  • Quality Representative for a multi-site ISO 9001 certified subsidiary.
  • Develop and update quality documentation, such as procedures, manuals, checklists, and reports.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality systems and processes and recommend improvements.
  • Support UL product certification and UL certification of Production site
  • Plan and execute quality control activities, such as inspection, testing, auditing, reporting, and best practice.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure quality requirements and expectations are met.
  • Improve process and product quality.
  • Analyze quality data and identify root causes of defects, non-conformities, and customer complaints.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence and improve quality performance.
  • Train and supervise quality personnel and ensure their competency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development, design, and validation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in electro-mechanical, or electronical.
  • At least 7 years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance in an electro-mechanical/ electronical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards, internal audits and required documentation.
  • Strong proficiency in quality tools and methods, such as statistical process control, failure mode and effect analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action.
  • Experience in using quality equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and multimeters.
  • Experienced in first article inspection reporting.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to embrace and drive change.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to allocate/supervise resources to accomplish goals (directly and indirectly).
  • Multisite management experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/German) is highly preferred.
