Roofs and facades of industrial and commercial buildings are often clad in metal shingles.

Under certain circumstances, metal shingles can be used as a natural down conductor. If these conditions are not fulfilled, an additional air-termination system must be installed for the purpose of preventive fire protection.

 

DEHNgrip offers the right solution to suit the installation conditions.

Roof covering with metal shingles

Mounting an air-termination/down conductor system on metal shingles has the following advantages:

  • no high-resistance random connections
  • continuity test and measurement according to the requirement DIN EN 62305-3, Supplement 3 is possible
  • spark prevention

Roof covering with bitumen shingles

The DEHNgrip conductor holder provides a permanent and secure hold on bitumen shingles thanks to 

  • the adjustable clamping range of 2 - 8 mm
  • the adapted geometry of the pressure plate
  • the way the specially shaped clamping claw fixes it in position.
